Solo Day 36

Wow ! Can anyone say that they have not done this ? Come on, even in a small way ? I can’t recall having any recent “Absalom Moments”, because I hate that kind of stuff, but I can think of how well I fought this huge bass and how long it took me to get it in. In reality, my worm was caught in a branch dangling over the water; the poor fish was so hungry that she jumped up and not only inhaled the whole worm but part of the branch also. As far as my fish fighting skills go, the truth is, as soon as I set the hook the fish swam towards me and  I just yanked her up onto the shore with hardly any fight at all.  What a great fisherman I am , huh?

The point is, watch out !  Even fishing stories and other “small” tales to build yourself up or to spice it up can lead into big problems in the long run. We are to focus on what God requires not on what the world expects.
