Solo Day 271

How is our love shown in our everyday lives either at home or with friends. I find I lack patience many times in my love for others. I want them to feel like I do with their relationship with God. Sometimes, I know that when I plan things I want every thing to be just right by my standards and come up short on the patience of love.  God’s love should be toward others as we travel this road. How many times has love disappeared  when we are dealing with others. I am guilty. Today’s passage should give us encouragement as we start a new day, asking God to direct our paths that others can see the Love of God through our lives. Peggy

When we try to blow our own horn, others can tell where our hearts belong. No matter where we are in our connections to the worlds view of us, it matters if we have received Christ into our lives and we blow a trumpet for God. We normally think of an instrument as being a piano, trumpet, etc., but sometimes we forget we are to be instruments for our God, trying to stay on key within our witness to others. Makes me stop and think. Peggy

Nothing between us and God. There is an old cherished song that says There’s Nothing between by Soul and my Savior. That song  and the words that follow make me stop and think that God is there for us and is always there to stand up for us even when others let us down. We may be having a pity party because of someone’s unkind words, but he is always embracing us. We take His love for granted, but thank goodness that God loves us.  Thank you Jesus for Gertrude Williams and her love to her God, church and  for her friends. Nothing stood between she and God. Solo Day 243

Believing without seeing. We as Christians believe and all the proof we need is found in our Bible. He is very much real to me.There are times I wish that Jesus would sit down beside me and I could unburden my troubles to Him, but he does in the form of His Holy Spirit. Thomas was the doubter but he moved on to believe who Jesus  was. I wonder how many of us instead of looking forward to our faith tend  to just seek half truths for our lives and still have that little voice that keeps us from moving forward in our faith.  As non Christians ask us the question, of how we can believe without seeing, we just need to give our simple testimony on how God has and is continually growing us day by day. We are their hope.   Peggy
