Ethiopia Trips - Serving Selamta Family Project

English Summer Camp

  • July 8 - July 22
  • July 22 - August 5
  • August 5 - August 19

Join Selamta Family Project for two weeks of their English Summer Camp working directly with youth and moms to improve their English skills and build lasting relationships. Gain volunteer experience, inspire our kids and experience authentic Ethiopian culture. If you love teenagers, have a desire to see formerly orphaned and abandoned children thrive and feel called to love your neighbors around the world, you are the perfect fit for this service opportunity.

Selamta's English Summer Camp is made up of three, two-week sessions. As a member of one of these two-week teams, you serve as a camp counselor to our youth, ranging in ages from 9-20 years old. This camp helps our
Selamta youth develop conversational and written English skills through interactive play,
experiential learning and hands-on activities.

Visit the Trips page of www.selamtafamilyproject.org or email abby@selamtafamilyproject.org for more information.

About Selamta

Selamta Family Project unites Ethiopian orphaned children and marginalized women to create forever families and bright futures by providing stable homes, excellent education and developmental resources.

Little Lambs Intl. - Guatemala

If you would like to serve Little Lambs in their mission to build an orphanage and engage the community around it this summer it is not too late. We have a team headed over this summer from July 6 - 14. If you want to join the team contact Mandy Fugate at 863-781-9706.

The local population around the orphanage has been a growing part of our team’s annual ministry. These wonderful people are largely illiterate making on going bible study after we leave more difficult. This year we are exploring an option to get the Bible in Spanish on a digital device that they could listen to. We will share more as we work out the details and hopefully we as a congregation can fund this project to make God’s word more accessible.
